This presentation includes various aspects of opportunities to reduce costs for employers. We start with assessing the workforce (skills requirements, employee base, performance) then discuss compensation and benefits. The next section addresses various elements of cost effective strategies for continuing training and the need for leadership development. The final area of discussion, and the most in depth, is realignment. The intent is to help employers 1) understand the difference between restructuring and realignment, and 2) how to plan realignment effectively (i.e. get the intended results!) The presentation is complimented with real situations and experiences the presenter has encountered.
Objectives of this program to include:
1. Identify the diversity of options related to employees to reduce cost
2. Identify options and best practices for making program and staff reductions
3. Methods to ensure results of realignment match goals
