Why Become PHR or SPHR Certified?
Certification sets those with the credentials apart – or above – those without it. There are a number of advantages to seeking certification. Certification becomes a public recognition of professional achievement – both within and outside of the profession. For many, achiev-ing certification becomes a personal professional goal – a way to test knowledge and to measure it against one's peers. Others see certification as an aid to career advancement, as it shows that the holder has accepted the challenge to stay informed of new developments in the HR field.

MATERIALS
We will be using the 2010 SHRM Learning System for this study group. Materials can be purchased at the Information Session. All materials must be ordered in advance.
This will be an independent study group that will review a module each session, take the module tests and review vocabulary. Participants will be expected to have reviewed each module prior to the study session. Together we will coach each other and lend our knowledge to help everyone be successful.
