The Program:
A brief overview of the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the major changes over the past year to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Amendments Act of 2008) and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the recently enacted Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).
FLSA: Employers will learn how to avoid common pitfalls involving the FLSA's overtime provisions
ADA/FMLA: Employers will learn of the numerous changes to both of these Acts that have occurred in the last year, including the ADA's expanded definition of "disability" and the FMLA's new provision relating to military caregiver leave and qualifying exigency leave
GINA: A summary of the recently-enaced law which prohibits employers from colleting genetic information from their employees
This program has been approved for one hour of general credit by HRCI.
About the Presenter
