Joy Binkley is an Area Vice President, Health & Welfare Consulting for Gallagher’s Durham, NC office. Joy has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Joy uses her knowledge and skills to work with clients in developing a benefits strategy that best fits their needs for recruiting and rewarding employees. Her extensive industry experience and broad perspective make her a valuable part of the consulting team and an integral asset to client employers. Joy’s area of focus is the public sector and self-funded clients.

Previously, Joy served in various sales and underwriting capacities at CIGNA Healthcare including Vice President of Sales. Prior to her work at CIGNA, Joy served as a stop loss underwriter and marketing representative for Stop Loss International.

Joy believes in community involvement and supports Purple Stride, an organization that is raising awareness for pancreatic cancer.

Chris Beach

Chris Beach is a Regional Manager for Gallagher’s Health and Welfare practice. Based in Richmond, Chris is responsible for introducing Gallagher Better Works ℠ to Virginia employers.

Chris believes that developing the right employee benefit program is just a part of solving the business challenges an employer may have. Finding and executing on the right allocation of resources to create the programs an employer needs to recruit, retain and engage their teams is essential to moving organizations forward towards their overall mission. Chris liaises with potential clients to help decipher what success means to them and works to deploy Gallagher resources to fit their needs.

Chris began his career with a regional health plan, based out of their Richmond office. This led to his opening an employee benefits agency, specializing in engineering companies. An opportunity to sell that agency to a Top 20 insurance agency, led to a role overseeing their Virginia Employee Benefits practice. Prior to joining Gallagher, Chris became involved in managing and reducing the cost of chronic issues, like musculoskeletal injuries.

As an active member of his local community, Chris supports various initiatives through bicycling associations, including Richmond Area Bicycling Association’s Bikes for Kids program and Bike New York’s TD Five Boro Bike Ride, empowering youth ridership to lead healthy lives.
