Employee cyber hygiene plays a large role in cybersecurity breaches. Employers educating and promoting good cyber hygiene follow best practices for security and protect their personal and business information. In a bring your own devices and services environment being ‘good’ is challenging. We are being asked to become cyber defenders. This presentation will take an end-user perspective and offer ten cyber hygiene practices to assist employers with their best practices.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Jeremiah Still

Jeremiah Still, Ph.D., earned his Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Iowa State University. He is an Associate Professor of Psychology and School of Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. His Psychology of Design laboratory explores the relationship between humans and technology. Notably, Dr. Still has published over 40 research articles. His research has been supported by competitive grants from the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative. Recently, he was selected for the prestigious APA division 21 early career achievement award and made a Fellow in the Psychonomic Society.
